| Notes : Tarantula (Universal International, 1955). One Sheet (27' X 41'). In the 1950s, nobody did science fiction cinema better than the great Jack Arnold, whose impressive resume boasts such titles as The Creature from the Black Lagoon, It Came from Outer Space, and the giant-bug favorite Tarantula. Nuclear energy was causing all kinds of havoc back then, and mutating a simple spider into a countryside-crawling creature was just one of them. This spectacular one sheet shows the leggy menace bearing down on romantic leads John Agar and Mara Corday. |
