James Bond goes to the Land of the Rising Sun in this fast-paced entry in the series, Sean Connery's last before his initial defection from the role. The hot tub artwork featured in this country-of-origin poster is a favorite among collectors.
With a huge budget of $9.5 million, YOu Only Live Twice took Bond fans into a new dimension, with expensive special effects and large-scale action scenery. The film was loosely based on Fleming's novel, but was taken predominantly from an original screen play by Roald Dahl. And so Bond was thrust into a high-tech space setting surrounded by rockets and space suits.
Bond's next missionis to prevent the outbreak of WWIII. The British Government believes a third party in Japan is capturing American & Russian rockets and leading each continent to suspect the other and threaten it with nuclear war. Bond discovers that Blofeld of SPECTRE is responsible for this and even has plans to be the leader of the surviving population.
Due to theclose release dates of You Only Live Twice and Casino Royale, Broccoli & Saltzman were concerned about the box-office takings. This was anticipated to be Sean Connery's final film, as he had become weary of being too closely associated with Bond. However Frank McCarthy and Robert McGinnis presented a very successful British poster campaign. McCarthy focused on the lavish and elaborate set designs of Ken Adam, whereas McGinnis chose to study the exotic women. Due to the sucess of these designs, the images were also used extensively throughout the world and are still rated as some of the very best Bond artwork. Date of release June 1967. |

'2001' is a story of evolution. Sometime in the distant past, someone or something nudged evolution by placing a monolith on Earth (presumably elsewhere throughout the universe as well). Evolution then enabled humankind to reach the moon's surface, where yet another monolith is found, one that signals the monolith placers that humankind has evolved that far. Now a race begins between computers (HAL) and human (Bowman) to reach the monolith placers. The winner will achieve the next step in evolution, whatever that may be.

He becomes coach and caddy for Joe Anthony, his girlfriend's brother, who must convince his fisherman father that hitting a little ball into a hole can be more lucrative than trawling the Pacific Ocean. The film ran over schedule and budget due to mishaps caused when director Otto Preminger insisted that actors perform their own stunts for the scenes of the raft struggling down the rapids. On one occasion, Marilyn Monroe had to be saved from drowning when her boots filled with water, and on another occasion, she and Robert Mitchum had to be rescued when their raft became stuck on a rock and was on the verge of overturning.

| Notes : Great Elvis image. Can be linen-backed for extra £250, please specify. Trivia: For reasons unknown, several of Elvis' songs are slightly sped up, making his voice sound higher than usual. This is most noticable on the title track. This error appears to have originated in the recording studio, as the RCA soundtrack album retains the sped up versions of the songs. A recording of 'Girl Happy', mastered at the proper speed, would not be released until the 1990s.

Led by Col Nicholson, a stereotypical British officer, the prisoners score a moral victory over the Japanese by not only building the bridge, but running the whole show. Unknown to Nicholson, an allied demolition team are planning a spectacular opening for the bridge.

| Notes : A Man and a Woman was France's definitive love story for a decade, the Love Story of its generation, and a thoroughly French example of its take on romance. Upon its release, it won the 20th Anniversary Grand Prize at Cannes. It won two Oscars, including Best Foreign Film. This lovely French Grande -- the ultra-rare color version. The poster has been linen-backed. A man and a woman meet by accident on a Sunday evening at their childrens' boarding school. Slowly they reveal themselves to each other, finding that each is a widow/widower. Each is slow to reveal anything personal so that each revelation is hidden by a misperception. They become friends, then close friends, and then she reveals that she can't have a lover because, for her, her husband's memory is still too strong. Much of the film is told wordlessly in action, or through hearing one of their thoughts as they go about their day. |

Vietnam vet Travis Bickle is 26, a loner in the mean streets of New York City, slipping slowly into isolation and violent misanthropy. In solving his insomnia by driving a yellow cab on the night shift, he grows increasingly disgusted by the low-lifes that hang out at night: 'Someday a real rain will come and wash all the scum off the streets.' His touching attempts to woo Betsy, a Senator's campaign worker, turn sour when he takes her to a porn movie on their first date. He even fails in his attempt to persuade child prostitute Iris to desert her pimp and return to her parents and school. Driven to the edge by powerlessness, he buys four handguns and sets out to assassinate the Senator, heading for the infamy of a `lone crazed gunman'...

| Notes : Breakfast at Tiffany's is a 1961 romantic comedy film starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard, and featuring Patricia Neal, Buddy Ebsen, Martin Balsam, and Mickey Rooney. The film was directed by Blake Edwards and released by Paramount Pictures. It was loosely based on the novella of the same name by Truman Capote.
Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly as the naïve, eccentric woman is generally considered to be the actress's most memorable and identifiable role. She herself regarded it as one of her most challenging roles, since she was an introvert required to play an extrovert.

Now grown up, both of his parents dead, Mark works by day as a focus-puller for a London movie studio. He moonlights by taking girlie pictures above a news agent's shop. But Mark has also taken up a horrifying hobby: He murders women while using a movie camera to film their dying expressions of terror. One evening, Mark meets and befriends Helen Stephens, a young woman who rents one of the rooms in his house. Does Helen represent some kind of possible redemption for Mark - or is she unknowingly running the risk of becoming one of his victims?

Sean Connery's last outing as James Bond (at least until the unofficial Never Say Never Again) finds him tracking a plot to steal diamonds for a high-powered laser gun. Loosely based on Ian Fleming's fourth Bond novel, this substitutes a returning Blofeld (Charles Gray) for the book's original villains, and is heavy on the eye-candy, with buxom beauties Jill St. John (the first American Bond girl) and Lana Wood adding decoration. This stunning country-of-origin British quad features Bond flanked by a couple of bikini babes, amid plenty of explosions. |

Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly as the naïve, eccentric woman is generally considered to be the actress's most memorable and identifiable role. She herself regarded it as one of her most challenging roles, since she was an introvert required to play an extrovert.

| Notes : Casino Royale (Columbia, 1967). British Quad (30' X 40'). In the only Bond film not produced by Cubby Broccoli's Eon Productions, David Niven takes on the role of Ian Fleming's master spy. This 'country of origin' British quad is one of the most desirable posters for this unorthodox entry in the James Bond series. Rare Country of Origin UK Quad poster for Bond spoof. After the death of M, Sir James Bond is called back out of retirement to stop SMERSH. In order to trick SMERSH and Le Chiffre, Bond thinks up the ultimate plan. That every agent will be named James Bond. One of the Bonds, whose real name is Evelyn Tremble is sent to take on Le Chiffre in a game of baccarat, but all the Bonds get more than they can handle, especially when the ultimate villain turns out to be Bonds nephew, Jimmy Bond. |

| Notes : North by Northwest (MGM, 1959). Six Sheet (81' X 81'). Cary Grant stars in one of Alfred Hitchcock's best films as an 'everyday' kind of guy who gets caught up in unusual circumstances, to say the least. Mistaken for a federal agent, he is kidnapped, drugged, and dragged into an espionage plot, a favorite subject for the master of suspense. The conclusion occurs on the face of Mount Rushmore in a climax that only Hitchcock could stage. This RARE imposing six sheet uses the familiar art that appeared on most of the other pieces produced for this film. |

| Notes : To Catch a Thief (Paramount, 1955). Three Sheet (41' X 81'). One of Hitchcock's classic suspense capers about a retired cat burglar trying to capture his imitator. This is Cary Grant and Grace Kelly's first and only pairing on the screen, and the sparks certainly fly. Although fifty when 'To Catch a Thief' was filmed, Grant was still playing a character of thirty-five... and getting away with it! The film was extremely popular. |

| Notes : One of the top sci-fi camp films of the 1950’s, also one of the strangest and worst produced, yet now a near classic! The story of an abused wife who meets a giant in the desert and is transformed into a giant herself, who then seeks revenge on her lothario husband. Here the popular art of the American poster is also used for the Argentine release. In a poll for Premier magazine, this was ranked as #8 of the 25 best movie posters ever. Based on the famous U.S. poster art design, but unusual because this is printed as a stone litho. On linen, NEAR MINT. |

| Notes : A Hard Day's Night (United Artists, 1964). British Quad (30' X 40'). The Fab Four make their mark on moviedom, just as they did on music, with raucous energy and plenty of personality. Director Richard Lester keeps the pace snappy, but it's really the charm of the boys themselves that sells this tune-filled romp. Country-of-origin paper on the Beatles is always highly desirable, and this iconic sheet from their debut film is a holy grail. |

Together, they play out a horrifying scheme in which he lures lonely women out on dates and proposes marriage to them, with she pretending to be his sister. They take the women's savings and then murder them remorselessly. Dank, claustrophobic, and weirdly engrossing, this movie never quite gives in to the comforts of conventional narrative. Francois Truffaut named it as his favorite American film. |

Along the way, the singing saviors encounter a surreal feast for both the eyes and ears: phantasmagorical creatures, outrageous landscapes, and colors that throb and vibrate to each and every Beatle song on the soundtrack. More men have walked on the moon than had the chance to play the most famous, fictional spy film has ever seen: James Bond. Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig are the six men that have taken on the role of Bond who Ian Fleming first unleashed in his 1952 novel Casino Royale. With following novels such as From Russia with Love and Goldfinger creating international success, producers Harry Saltzman and Albert 'Cubby' Brocolli joined forces, taking Fleming's imagination from book to silver-screen. Since then, EON's films such as Dr. No, Octopussy and Goldeneye have left audiences gripped by the fearless Agent 007 of the British Secret Service, and continue to do so. Characters such as Miss Moneypenny and Blofeld are synonymous with the series, and with a whole host of actors including Christopher Lee and Judi Dench, the Bond series is intrinsically iconic. The voices of Shirley Bassey, Louis Armstrong and Tom Jones have featured on the striking title sequences, adding to the list of famous names, with Adele being its latest addition.
The most recent installmant Skyfall has been more than successful in satisfying the appetites of Bond fans, and keeps the legend of the agent with a license to kill alive.

While there, he watches a news-reel depicting the American version of rapid mail delivery. Shot in pseudo-documentary style, the film purports to show a typical day in the life of the group.
