My Fair Lady (Warner Brothers, 1964). One Sheet (27' X 41'). The film adaptation of Lerner and Loewe's Broadway musical (which was itself adapted from Shaw's 'Pygmalion') won eight Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Rex Harrison and Best Director for George Cukor. The story centers around Harrison's attempts to turn Cockney lass Audrey Hepburn into a genteel lady. The artwork by Bob Peak is among his most beautiful.

| Notes : North by Northwest (MGM, 1959). Six Sheet (81' X 81'). Cary Grant stars in one of Alfred Hitchcock's best films as an 'everyday' kind of guy who gets caught up in unusual circumstances, to say the least. Mistaken for a federal agent, he is kidnapped, drugged, and dragged into an espionage plot, a favorite subject for the master of suspense. The conclusion occurs on the face of Mount Rushmore in a climax that only Hitchcock could stage. This RARE imposing six sheet uses the familiar art that appeared on most of the other pieces produced for this film. |

| Notes : North by Northwest (MGM, 1959). Lobby Card (11' X 14'). One of director Alfred Hitchcock's greatest films, this is the story of advertising exec Roger Thornhill (Cary Grant) who is mistaken for a government agent and pursued by a gang of hostile spies who chase him across the country as he struggles to survive. The attack by a crop dusting plane, as seen in this highly desirable lobby card, is one of the highlights of the film. |
