Frankenstein (1931) original poster sells for $358,500 at auction

The only known copy to exist for this style C3 sheet Frankenstein poster was found behind a projection booth in an old remodelled theatre is now the 5th highest selling poster to date.

Frankenstein is a 1931 monster film about an obsessed scientist and his assistant, who dig up corpses to build a monster but his assistant accidentally gives the monster a murderer's brain.

The film was a hit with both audiences and critics of the day and was followed by multiple sequels and has become an iconic horror film playing a key role in the evolution of the essentials of horror films, from the Creature of the Black Lagoon (1954) to Jason of Friday the 13th (1980).

LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT (1927) sets world auction record for $478,000

The only known copy of the poster still in existence for 1927 film ´London After Midnight´ smashes the previous auction price for a movie poster of $453,000 held by Boris Karloff´s ´The Mummy 1932 (since 1997) to become the second most valuable vintage movie poster at $475,000.

The highest price to date paid for a poster was $690,000 for Fritz Lang's 1927 ´Metropolis´ the first sci-fi film ever.

Audrey Hepburn's fame as one of Hollywood's most elegant & iconic actresses produced an astounding $35,850 auction price for the Italian 2 foglio poster of ´Breakfast At Tiffany's in July 2014.

This gorgeous rendering by famous Italian poster artist Enzo Nistri, is perhaps the most beautiful of the young Audrey Hepburn in the role of Holly Golightly. Although Audrey Hepburn had already won an Oscar for Roman Holiday and captured hearts with Sabrina, it was Breakfast at Tiffany's that would become the film she is most identified with.

At The Movies launched their new gallery at the heart of the fashionable Marylebone in London. Located on 18 Thayer Street, the opening of At The Movies gallery was celebrated by a glittering gathering of the VIP from the world of art and media.

Billionaire heiress and model Tamara Ecclestone and fashion designer Julien Macdonald OBE were among a large group of friends and fans who attended the launch party.
